Prison Part 2

So we made it to Crocker Texas. It took like 5 hours to get here because of the slow trucks we are taking and multiple fuel, bathroom, and food stops. It has to be on of the smallest towns I've ever been in. Right now we are eating at Don Rafa's. I hope I don't regret this tomorrow. Can anyone tell what's wrong with the ceiling picture??

Going to prison.

So I was up this morning at 5:00 AM to drive to the airport to get on a plane to Dallas. I am working with Daystar TV in a men's prison in Texas tomorrow where we set up staging, lights, sound system, and a production truck for 4 cameras. We have a live band and singers of about 21 that minister to the prisoners in a Gym and then we break it all down and drive home. Tomorrow will be a long day. We start at 5:00 AM and get back to Dallas Saturday morning at 2:00 AM or so. I will try to post some more about it. I don't think I can take my phone in with me though so pictures might be hard to get. We'll see. Pray for our safety and a successful event.

Fun With Maxxyz Compact

So we got 2 Maxxyz Compact consoles to replace our Hog 3 Consoles and so far we are loving it. We will put the console in our main room next week.

Tonight I went bowling with the guys from my small group while the women went to the event I just got done setting up at the church. I am not doing so well.

McCall Idaho

So we are in McCall Idaho getting coffee at Moxies. It is a little town that is about 20 Min from Skiing at a place called Tamarac. The only bummer is that there is fog so we can't see the mountains. Its still cool though.

Mom's New Computer...Sort Of

So my dad bought my mom this 17" HP Laptop almost a year ago and she hasn't used it yet. My dad had wireless service from Quest installed since March of 08' and they never had that hooked up either. So they kept telling me when I came out to that they would like my help getting it rolling. Well, I am posting from my mom's computer right now on their wireless internet they have been paying on for 9 Months. So when I leave here I will be able to email, chat, and Skype with my mom which will be great for our family to stay in touch with her since we all blog and what not. What cracks me up is that my dad has been using his Verizon Wireless internet card for everything he does on the internet from home and it is just a little better than dial up speeds. He was minutes away from high speed and he didn't even know it. He has been a little busy if you can tell. I love my mom and dad and it has been great fun being at their home. Now only if I can get them to move to Colorado.

Shopping On Black Friday

So we went shopping to look for this camera at Target and they were out of it. We went to a second location and they were out of them too. So instead of a camera Joanna got some clothes. At least the trip wasn't a total bust.

Frosty Morning

When I woke up this morning this is what I saw. It was like something out of Chronicles Of Narnia.
This was the making of being foggy all night and 16 degrees. I just thought it was so cool. I have better pictures but there not on my phone. Maybe my wife will put some up.

Finally!!

I know this title works on so many levels. For one I haven't blogged in forever and secondly that snow has finally come to Monument Colorado. I have been bummed seeing the weather guy say we have sun and no rain or snow. We need it so the slopes can be great this year and also because I love shoveling and driving in it. I have been really busy recently which is why blogging died for me but I will see if I can revive it.

In Houston

So I am in Houston. I get on a ship tomorrow to go to Cozemel with Daystar Televison Network. It should be fun but Friday and Sunday will be 15 hour days. We do have Saturday off in cozemel though. I will try and update more often. We'll have to see. :)

Beach Volleyball

So I just got done watching the Mens Beach Volleyball Final and the USA won!! I love that sport because the plays carry so much energy. I am sitting here thinking,"I wonder if there is anything I could do to get into the Olympics?" I know that if there was something I wanted bad enough and could devote a enough time to its possible. With the mountains being right here I would think it could be a winter sport. Anyway, after watching a woman in her 40's win metals for the USA it makes me think anything is possible. Now we just need to spank everyone in Basketball.

Keaton is Here!!!

So Keaton James Kurtz was born on August 6th at 3:39 pm and he weighed 6lbs 13.5 ounces and was 19.75 inches long. He has been so much fun minus us not sleeping much yet but I know we'll get there. Kadence has already warmed up to him.


Holly Wall brought Kadence a gift when she brought us a meal. Kadence is still getting used to having a little baby herself but she does know how to wrap her with the blanket. Holly also brought her some puzzles that Kadence loves. Whats not to love about Elmo.

I need to write something

I haven't taken any pictures in a while to put on my blog so I wanted to write something anyway. Joanna is still pregnant. I was hoping I wouldn't have to go to work tomorrow. I know there is still hope. :) We are really ready for this baby to come out, and I know Joanna more than me. I know it will be crazy for a while but were looking forward to having more than one and for Kadence to have a little brother. I can't wait to see how they interact. So I promise to take video of Keaton and post it on my or Jo's site so that everyone can see him. I don't think we do enough video. Well, everyone have a great week.
